City of Gaithersburg issued the following announcement on July 6.
The City of Gaithersburg presents “Big, Bold and Beautiful,” an exhibit featuring large format abstract and representational works highlighting line, shape, color, form, and design. The summer exhibit is on display July 6 through August 28, 2018, at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, 506 South Frederick Avenue, Gaithersburg, Maryland. Viewing hours are Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The public is invited to meet the artists during a free Artists Reception on Thursday, July 12 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
With its expansive entrance and hallway, Bohrer Park’s Activity Center provides the perfect location for showing large works of art. This exhibit was curated by Mary Weiss-Waldhorn and features works by those selected from the annual Call for Artists. Featured artists include Eric Celarier, Sandra Davis, Jabari Jefferson, Stephen McDowell, Shyam Rele, Anne Smyers, Francine Stowe-Sinkler, Qin Tan, and Alexey Zoob.
