On Friday, March 6, Katie Lawson, a former Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School athlete, contributed to her current team, the Washington and Lee Generals, as they achieved a 73-44 victory over the St. Mary’s Seahawks in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.
The matchup, held at 8 p.m. in Holekamp Gym, marked the teams’ first meeting of the tournament.
The Washington and Lee Generals are scheduled to play their next tournament game Saturday, March 7 at 8 p.m., also at Holekamp Gym.
