Saahil Thakkar, a former Northwest High School athlete and now a member of the UMBC Retrievers basketball roster, is set to take part in the NCAA Tournament.

The Retrievers, seeded 16, face off against fellow 16th seed Howard Bison to kick off tournament play.

The opening game tips off Tuesday, March 17, at 6:40 p.m. at UD Arena.
