John McGowan, a former Walt Whitman High School standout, and the Trinity Tigers were defeated 10-2 by the Tufts Jumbos in an NCAA Division III baseball game at 7 p.m. Monday, March 16.
The matchup was held at Trinity Baseball Field. This marked their third meeting with the Jumbos this season. In the game on Sunday, March 15, the Tigers fell 24-9.
McGowan gave up four earned runs in 2.1 innings, finishing with three walks and one strikeout.
The Tigers are set to play again at Trinity Baseball Field on Tuesday, March 17, at 6 p.m. against the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs.
