Nemecek & Snyder Named Cookie-Off Champions

City of Gaithersburg issued the following announcement on Dec. 27

The final round of the Great Gaithersburg Cookie-Off Challenge was held on December 2 at the Casey Winter Farmers Market. Julie Nemecek & Andy Snyder won first place with their recipe for “Harvest Honeynut Ginger Cookies.” The other two finalists were Sammi King & Kimberly Plant.

In addition to being named the “Great Gaithersburg Cookie-Off Champions,” Julie & Andy won a Gaithersburg Prize Pack featuring tickets to City classes & events. All finalists won $25 gift certificates to the Casey Farmers Market, provided by Market Money sponsor Red Carpet Remodeling. Ready to show off your chocolate skills? We’re now accepting entries for the Great Gaithersburg Chocolate-Off. Apply here to submit up to three original recipes. The winner will receive a Gaithersburg prize package and the title of Great Gaithersburg Chocolate-Off Champion. Recipe submissions are due January 28, 2022. Tasting & judging will take place at the Casey Winter Farmers Market on Thursday, February 17, 2022, where the winner will be announced.
