This scholarship is honoring the long career of John L. Shetrone, Jr. John has a 35 year career in the Anne Arundel community, growing IT companies and providing career opportunities to hundreds of teammates. He has consistently emphasized the value of education, certifications and self-investment. John has advocated the use of the company’s tuition reimbursement program, and promoted industry sponsored training as well.
Recognizing the value of education, John’s involvement as a board member for the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation, and Maryland Technology Development Corporation - TEDCO provides opportunity to promote #STEM and related business programs to help grow our region’s technology base. His commitment to the growth of the individual through education has developed industry leaders and resulted in Vision Technologies being recognized as one of the largest technology employers in the region.
