On June 1, 2025, Rep. Raskin extended his warm wishes for Shavuot with a message directed towards those observing the holiday both in Maryland and globally. He expressed his sentiment through “Sending warm greetings on Shavuot to everyone commemorating this holy day in Maryland and around the world. Chag Sameach!”
The following day, June 2, 2025, he addressed an antisemitic attack affecting Jewish Americans. In his statement, he offered solidarity and support to the victims while denouncing such acts of violence as indefensible. He emphasized that “There is no justification for hate violence and terror.”
Later that same day, Raskin commented on a development concerning Elon Musk’s role as a government contractor. He criticized Musk for allegedly causing disruptions within government operations by terminating employees crucial to research and public safety sectors. The tweet read: “Big win for government integrity and efficiency…Elon Musk—the Ketamine, mushroom and Ecstasy-abusing billionaire government contractor responsible for firing cancer researchers…”
