On Saturday, April 12, former Sherwood High School standout Denver Lauer’s current college team, the USC Upstate Spartans, won 8-3 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Charleston Southern Buccaneers.

The game took place at Cyrill Stadium. This was their third matchup against the Buccaneers this season.

The Upstate Spartans’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15 at 3 p.m. at Cyrill Stadium against Western Carolina Catamounts.
