Following a March 30 inspection for Foodborne Biological Hazards, Nu Vistsa Foods Groups, Inc. in Tampa was issued one citation by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), according to data posted on the FDA’s website.
The company was cited because, as the FDA website notes, ‘You did not establish and maintain records documenting temperature controls for foods that require temperature control for safety.’
The FDA conducts regular inspections at facilities nationwide to assess whether they and their products comply with FDA-regulated laws and regulations intended to help safeguard public health. Inspection findings are released to the public.
The FDA’s website states the agency is responsible for overseeing the safety and quality of human and animal drugs, biological products, medical supplies and tobacco products.
