There was one gas station in cities across Montgomery County selling regular gas at the lowest price of $2.51 per gallon in the week ending Jan. 3, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
The average reported price of regular gas across the county was $2.90 per gallon.
Montgomery County had 133 of 207 reported gas stations offering regular gas.
Statewide, regular gas averaged $2.85 per gallon for the week ending Jan. 3, up from the previous week.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
