Rep. Jamie Raskin, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Maryland’s 8th district since 2017, has posted a series of statements on social media addressing former President Donald Trump and the ongoing controversy surrounding Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking ring.

On February 24, 2026, Raskin wrote, “As Trump’s numbers sink like a stone, he grows ever more desperate to bury the secrets buried in the Epstein File. The survivors plan to make sure the truth is known and justice is done.”

Later that day, he added, “House Democrats stand in solidarity with the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s monstrous international sex trafficking ring. They have come to the State of the Union to reject Trump’s claim that this is a ‘hoax.’ America demands an end to the Trump-Bondi coverup and justice for”.

In another post on February 25, 2026, Raskin stated, “Trump is the most corrupt president in American history. He has made more money in office in one year—billions of dollars mostly from foreign government emoluments, crypto scams and insider deals—than all the other presidents made in office combined. He is sinking like a stone in”.

Jamie Raskin has been active in Congress since replacing Chris Van Hollen in 2017 and previously served on the Maryland Senate from 2007 to 2016. Born in Washington, D.C., in 1962 and currently residing in Takoma Park, Raskin holds degrees from Harvard University and Harvard Law School.
