Rep. Jamie Raskin, who represents Maryland’s 8th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on September 17, 2025, addressing topics ranging from government transparency to cultural celebrations.
In his first post at 16:10 UTC, Raskin quoted Kash Patel and criticized the current handling of the Epstein file: “Put on your big boy pants and let us know who the pedophiles are.” -Then-t-shirt salesman & children’s book writer Kash Patel.
It’s been 200 days since Director Patel has been sworn in but he’s still covering up for Trump & won’t take his own advice & release the Epstein file.
Later that day at 17:20 UTC, Raskin continued his criticism of Director Patel, writing: Director Patel, you’ve been blinded by your loyalty to Donald Trump, and as a result, you’ve betrayed Epstein’s victims, turned your back on career FBI agents and left the American people less safe.
Shifting focus in an evening post at 21:43 UTC, Raskin acknowledged Hispanic Heritage Month with a message of celebration for diversity: We celebrate the diverse cultures, rich traditions, and historic contributions of the Hispanic community in Maryland’s beautiful Eighth Congressional District and across America. Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! ¡Feliz Mes de la Herencia Hispana!
Jamie Raskin has represented Maryland’s 8th congressional district since replacing Chris Van Hollen in 2017. Prior to serving in Congress, he was a member of the Maryland Senate from 2007 to 2016.
