Rep. In a post dated April 14, 2025, Raskin expressed his solidarity and support for Governor Shapiro and his family following an arson attack on Passover’s first night. He advocated for the eradication of political violence to protect democracy.
Later that day, Raskin commented on compliance with legal authority concerning a deportee, Abrego Garcia. He referred to the involvement of El Salvador in U.S. deportations, expressing concerns over “lawlessness” and emphasizing the financial ties between the countries.
Raskin, born in Washington, D.C. in 1962, now resides in Takoma Park. He has a distinguished academic background with a BA and JD from Harvard University, earned in 1983 and 1987 respectively.
