Rep. Jamie Raskin, U.S. Congressman representing Maryland’s 8th district since 2017, posted a series of updates on his official X account between September 15 and September 17, 2025. The tweets addressed topics ranging from public service recognition to ongoing national investigations and Constitution Day.
On September 15, Raskin acknowledged the contributions of a colleague named Gabe: “Gabe—It’s been such a great honor to work alongside you to deliver for our people. We know you aren’t close to done yet with your powerful service to MoCo., but we wish you and your family all the best in your next chapter.”
Two days later, on September 16, Raskin commented on an upcoming House Judiciary hearing involving FBI Director Kash Patel: “FBI Director Kash Patel steps before @HouseJudiciary on Wednesday. America wants answers about the ongoing coverup allowing Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell and their billionaire pals to thwart justice for trafficking victims and accountability for predators.”
On September 17, he shared a message marking Constitution Day: “My message wishing everybody a happy and fervent Constitution Day! Hang tough for democracy and freedom.”
Jamie Raskin has served in Congress since replacing Chris Van Hollen in 2017. Before his tenure in the U.S. House of Representatives, he served in the Maryland Senate from 2007 to 2016. Born in Washington, D.C., in 1962, Raskin currently resides in Takoma Park. He is an alumnus of Harvard University (BA) and Harvard Law School (JD).
