Jamie Raskin has represented Maryland’s 8th District since 2017 after succeeding Chris Van Hollen. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served both in the Maryland House of Representatives and on the Maryland Senate from 2007 to 2016. Born in Washington D.C. in 1962 and currently residing in Takoma Park at age 60, Raskin is an alumnus of Harvard University with degrees from both its undergraduate college (1983) and law school (1987).
