Rep. Jamie Raskin, who represents Maryland’s 8th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on July 24, 2025, addressing topics ranging from the release of the Epstein files to climate change and humanitarian concerns in Gaza.

In his first post at 13:38 UTC, Raskin addressed the Speaker of the House with a call for transparency regarding high-profile investigations: “Mr. Speaker, are you also interested in uncovering the “FULL TRUTH” of the EPSTEIN FILE?! Subpoena and RELEASE them.

To be fair, your desperate effort to change the subject will allow us to invite the 140 police officers injured by Trump’s mob to testify. Let’s start with them.”

Later that day at 14:19 UTC, Raskin commented on environmental policy changes affecting federal agencies: “The Carbon Kings are rejoicing as they watch MAGA’s slash-and-burn campaign at @NOAA. But pulling the wool over your own eyes won’t stop climate change or accelerating natural disasters. As I told this rally in 92-degree heat, NOAA is our ark.”

In an evening post at 22:21 UTC, he drew attention to humanitarian issues in Gaza: “Hundreds of hungry Palestinians have been killed near food sites managed by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation which is funded in part by our tax dollars. This group should not receive our support while Gazans face starvation and violent death every day. The famine and slaughter”

Jamie Raskin has served as a member of Congress since 2017 after succeeding Chris Van Hollen. Before his tenure in Congress, he was a member of both the Maryland House of Representatives and Senate between 2007 and 2016. Born in Washington, D.C., in 1962, Raskin currently resides in Takoma Park and holds degrees from Harvard University and Harvard Law School.
