On Friday, April 11, former Walt Whitman High School standout Matt Ryan’s current college team, the Lamar Cardinals, won 5-4 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Nicholls State Colonels.

The game took place at Vincent-Beck Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Colonels this season.

The Cardinals’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, April 12 at 5 p.m. at Vincent-Beck Stadium against Nicholls State Colonels.
