Former Gaithersburg athlete Noah Tabaie competes March 17 in Division I matchup for LIU

Noah Tabaie, a former Gaithersburg High School standout, took the field with the LIU Sharks as they dropped a 5-3 decision to the Iona Gaels in an NCAA Division I baseball game held Tuesday, March 17, at 3 p.m.

City Park Stadium hosted the game, which marked the season’s opening meeting between the two teams.

Tabaie pitched one inning, surrendered one earned run, and issued a walk during his outing.

The Sharks are set to play next on Friday, March 20, facing Central Connecticut Blue Devils at CCSU Baseball Field. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
