During a Feb. 26 inspection, NationsMarket, LLC in Pembroke Park was issued four citations by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), according to data posted on the FDA’s website.
The assessment included the following topics:
- Food Composition, Standards, Labeling and Econ
- Foodborne Biological Hazards
The FDA reported the company received citations for the following:
- ‘Your HACCP plan is not specific to the kind of fish or fishery product processed.’
- ‘You do not have a written HACCP plan that outlines controls for a food safety hazard that is reasonably likely to occur.’
- ‘Your HACCP plan does not list the food safety hazards that are reasonably likely to occur.’
- ‘Your HACCP plan does not list one or more critical control points that are necessary for each of the identified food safety hazards.’
The FDA regularly inspects facilities nationwide to verify workplace and product compliance with FDA-regulated laws and regulations intended to protect public health. These findings are made publicly available.
