During an April 1 inspection for foodborne biological hazards, Osi Group, LLC in Aurora was issued one citation by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), data from the FDA’s website shows.
According to the FDA website, the company was cited for the following issue: ‘You did not ensure that the unique facility identifier recognized as acceptable by FDA was/were provided electronically when filing entry with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.’
The FDA conducts regular inspections at facilities across the United States to verify compliance with FDA-regulated laws and regulations designed to support public health. The results of these inspections are made available to the public.
The agency’s website notes that the FDA is a government organization with primary oversight for the safety and quality of human and animal drugs, biological products, medical supplies and tobacco products.
