The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) carried out an inspection focused on foodborne biological hazards at Mast Family Creamery in Salem on Feb. 24, according to data posted on the FDA’s website.
The inspection’s final report found that Mast Family Creamery did not need to make any changes to its management operations.
The FDA regularly inspects facilities nationwide to check if their workplaces and products meet FDA-regulated laws and regulations created for public health. The agency makes its inspection results available to the public.
According to the FDA’s website, the agency is mainly tasked with overseeing the production and distribution of human and animal drugs, biological items, medical supplies and tobacco for safety and quality.
