During an inspection on April 3, Roshen USA, CORP in Cranbury was cited twice by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for foodborne biological hazards, according to information published on the FDA’s website.
The FDA’s website reports the company received citations for:
- ‘You did not develop an FSVP.’
- ‘Your foreign supplier verification activities did not provide assurance that the hazards requiring a control in the food you import have been significantly minimized or prevented.’
The FDA conducts regular inspections nationwide to check if facilities and their products comply with federal regulations designed to protect public health. The results of these inspections are made publicly available.
The agency’s website describes the FDA as a government body chiefly responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of drugs, biological products, medical supplies, and tobacco products distributed and produced in the U.S.
