On Friday, March 6, Samuel Alexandre, a former standout from Thomas S. Wootton High School, helped lead his current team, the Catholic Cardinals, to a 71-69 win over the WestConn Wolves in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.
The matchup began at 3:30 p.m. inside Cousens Gymnasium and marked the team’s first game against the WestConn Wolves in this year’s tournament.
The Cardinals will play their next game Saturday, March 7, at 6 p.m., again at Cousens Gymnasium.
