Montgomery County had one gas station selling premium gas at the lowest price of $3.13 per gallon during the week ending Jan. 31, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
The county registered an average of $3.92 per gallon for premium gas.
Of the 207 reported gas stations in cities within Montgomery County, 66 offered premium gas.
The statewide average price of premium gas in Maryland was $3.81 per gallon for the week ending Jan. 31, a decrease from the previous week.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
